Colon polyps are growths that appear on the inner lining of the colon or rectum. They vary in size, shape, and number and are usually asymptomatic, meaning they often do not cause noticeable symptoms. Sessile Serrated Polyps: These have a flat shape and can be harder to detect. Some types can develop into cancer.
